How to take your measurements.

BRA

  1.  Measure your band size
Stand up straight and measure around your ribcage, just below your bust. The tape should be snug but not uncomfortable, and parallel to the ground. If your measurement is an odd number, round it up to the nearest even number.
    Measure your bust
  2. Stand up straight with your arms at your sides and measure around the fullest part of your bust. The tape should be parallel to the ground.
  3. Calculate your cup size
Subtract your band measurement from your bust measurement. The difference is your over-bust differential, which, along with your band size, determines your cup size. You can use a bra cup size chart to find your cup size.
  4. Combine your band and cup size
Your bra size is the number followed by the letter, for example, 36D

Panties

1. Measure your hips
Wrap a measuring tape around the fullest part of your hips, making sure it's snug but not too tight. The widest part of your hips is usually 6–9 inches below your natural waist.
2. Measure your waist
Wrap a measuring tape around your natural waist, which is the narrowest part of your waist. For help finding your natural waist, you can try bending sideways and looking for the crease.
3. Use a size chart
Compare your measurements to a panty size chart to determine your size. If your measurements fall between sizes, choose the larger size.

When choosing panties, you can also check that they fit well by:

  • Making sure the crotch area lies flat and securely against your body
  • Checking that the fabric doesn't bunch or sag
  • Ensuring the waistband stays in place without digging into your skin
  • Checking that the leg openings are evenly arched and don't feel too tight
